What have we been up to…

Well we are now in May and are just getting over the Bank Holiday weekends.

Easter weekend saw the return of Jayson Norris each and every Friday… We are now present 3 amazing nights of live music each and every weekend.

The Royal wedding weekend saw some famous faces (well masks)  drop in Will and Kate had their first dance to a Jayson Norris classic. Ian Munro took control on Saturday and had everyone sipping on Mojitos and dancing away. With Speakeasy on holiday Two Man Zoo and James B popped along on Sunday to top off what was a fantastic  weekend with everyone enjoying the national celebration.

We have also launched our new cocktail menu with some fantastic additions including the Boston Tea Party made with Buffalo trace, maple syrup, apple juice and Mint all served in a funky tea pot! It tastes so good. To add a bit of sparkle we have also added the porn star martini, made with passion fruit vodka and served with a side of sparkling wine!  

Our new Pizzas and burgers are also going down a treat, with Gorgonzola and tarragon leeks topped with some amazing garlic sausage, you have to taste it to believe it!

March Madness

How are you doing? We have been busy planning, dancing and singing!

Our two live music nights are rocking Shepherds Bush every week, With Ian Munro every Saturday making everyone dance the night away while enjoying a few of our lovely Mojitos (2 for £7.00 every Saturday) and the very handsome and talented Speakeasy boys entertaining the masses every Sunday.

Speakeasy have also introduced us to the amazing James B, his rendition of Man in the Mirror is one of our favourite parts of the week. Last night we had the Speakeasy boys and James playing together in a little impromptu performance that made us all smile.  

Ian Munro has just released his EP- sense which is pretty special; it is available through all good online music stores!

We also have some big things coming up- firstly we have all be touched by the devastating Earthquake in Christchurch as many of our customers and staff are kiwis we know we must try to do something to help, We are holding a whole weekend fundraiser on 19^th-20^th March with a host of activities including an auction and raffle where you can bid on lots of exciting things including musical lessons from all of our entertainers.  Just keep checking our Facebook page for details.

The end of April we have the return of Jayson Norris he will be playing every Friday night and I am sure you will all be as excited as we are about his return.

Exciting New Things!

Well welcome to 2011..

Here at Vesbar we have been working very had on a new music line up.
With Speakeasy the Kiwi duo playing each and every Sunday, they play a selection of covers in there own funky style, starting at 5pm and playing till late this is one event not to be missed.

We have also just annonced the amazing and talented Ian Munro playing Every Saturday. Mojitos with Munro will see Ian playing a selection of his own material and some excellent covers, while you sip away on some of amazing Mojitos, with a selection ranging from classic, apple, spiced to a Devil I am sure you will find something to suit your taste.

Its cold and wet outside!

Well the winter seems to be here early!
It's ok because at Vesbar we have the fire on, coffee's warm and we are all smiling!

Looking out of our windows it's cold and dark outside and everyone is wraped up against the rain, the thoughts of sun, shorts and sunglasses are a distant memory. There is something to look forward to! The big Christmas countdown is upon us!
We are planning our decorations and helping our customers get ready for their Christmas parties. We provide the food, the drinks and a whole heap of Christmas cheer all you need to do is provide you and your friends, or workmates!

The Staff

Hi everyone.

I think we should all get to know each other a bit better so I will introduce you to all the lovely people on the otherside of the bar!

The Leader- Sian, she is Welsh but doesn't sound it! she enjoys watching the X factor and is getting very angry at it this year. Favorite drink is cider followed by a Jager Bomb!

The Little Leader- Alicia, also know as Leaps. She is leaving us soon to head off to America and get married. Her Favorite drink is Kopperberg cider, mostly the Strawberry and Lime one.

The Auzzie- Ash. He is from Australia, quote of the day "Its hug an Ash day!" Favorite drink is Long Island Ice tea!

Funky hair Ant- The Brummie, wears the coolest T shirts and loves to clean! Favourite drink is by far Leffee, by the pint of course.

I make cocktail man Bora- He loves nothing more than to shake a cocktail or two, he even has his own bar set up at home to practice, he is turkish and has the most amazing hair! He also loves to drink, always the first with the Jager bombs!

Kirk- Our little Kirsty, she looks so sweet and innocent! not true. She has a twin sister and they sometines dress the same! She will drink almost anything but loves a nice Peroni!

Tilly- Real name Rachel, she is our Sunday superstar, she is a classical gutarist and loves to sing and dance behind the bar. She is also a big Cider fan.

Cady- She has about 10 names and is our Scottish Lass! by day a teacher by night cacktail minx! her favourite drink? anything really!

Frankie- She is our new little flower a Kiwi chick that is loving being in London. Her drink of choice a pint of Peroni.

Not forget our superstar head chef Nikita- usually found hanging out after work on a Sunday dancing and singing along to Jayson! her drink Cider, Wine, anything really!

Well what a week here at Vesbar,
With the weather turning colder, we have cranked up the fire and made sure the coffee is nice and hot!
This week has seen Vesbar hanging out with some celebrity friends, we can't tell you who!  But Ralf Little and Makenzie Crook (opps)  have been calling in for some post show drinks, they have been performing in the play at the Bush Theatre, the show has now finished, but there is another one coming up soon check out the Bush Theatre to see what is on next!
We have also had our regular live music with Speakeasy on Thursday, they are a kiwi duo, who play a loads of different instruments all at the same time! you have to come down and see these guys we think they are amazing!
Sunday as usual saw Jayson Norris- You all know Jayson Norris! No? Well you should the most talented singer, songwriter we have ever seen! He playes a selection of his own tracks from 5pm to 6pm! then a mix of covers from the old favourites to some new and exciting versions of current songs! This weeks favouite was "I wanna be a billionare"! Basically you have to see him to believe it!

Welcolme

Hello, and welcolme to the first Vesbar blog.

You will already know a little bit about the bar, from the hedings above so I thought we would just tell you a little bit more about us.

Situated just off Shepherds bush green, we are just a short hop from Westfields shopping centre, which we have to agree is amazing, and also very busy! We are a tiny step from the Shepherds bush Empire and the Bush thetre, both amazing places and we are obvously the first choice for a pre gig or pre show bite to eat, and definatly the place for a post show drink!

We have the red room towards the back of the bar that is ideal for all types of functons, we evan have a screen if you want to hold meetings or have a Wii night!

Our food is the best in the area, with everyting made fresh to order using the finest ingredients, home made pizza, with a choice of roma, spanish, meatless and the finest Duck pizza! We also do a variety of Burgers and amazing salads.

Vesbar is famous for its live music with Jayson Norris every Sunday, an amazing Kiwi gutarist that will rock your night. Speakeasy are here every Thursday with a collection of covers that will make your feet tap!
